American Women's Medical Association, Science Outreach, Alpha Phi Omega
As one of the founding executive board members to establish the Pre-Medical Chapter of the American Women's Medical Association (AMWA) at USC, I am proud of the strong
community of women in science we have fostered, along with the groundworks we have laid for the future of the organization.
Our club's mission is to foster a strong community of female pre-medical students and support them on their journey to becoming future healthcare provider through
various professional, academic, social, philanthropy, and volunteering events. Some of the events that my Event Committee Board have came up with include
a "Moms in Medicine" panel, Mask Making Event Social, Keck Medical Student panel, and discussions
regarding healthcare disparities in collaboration with African Americans in Health at USC (some of the event flyers shown below!).
This opportunity has helped me advocate for community amidst the hardships of being a premed student, strengthen my leadership skills, and
bolster my creativity in creating engaging and informational events.

Oobleck Experiment
For essentially the entirety of my undergraduate career, I have been a member of Science Outreach (SCout).
SCout has been one of my favorite clubs to participate in because we get to perform science
experiments with second and third graders at local elementary schools once a week with a small group of around eight
other USC SCout members. Some of the experiments we do with the students include making oobleck,
elephant toothpaste, strawberry DNA, and lava lamps. The students are always excited to do these fun experiments, which is extremeley
gratifying to know that I can spark an excitement for science, exploration, and learning in the classroom.
I hope that my efforts translates into inspiring them to become future curious scientists!
For the last year of
my involvement with SCout, I had the honors of playing a bigger role with SCouts operations on the Executive Board
as the Public Relations Coordinator and Vice President of External Affairs. As a board member, my goals were to increase social media engagement
through creating graphics (above are some of my designs), promote outreach within the community, and ensure that all
committees (historians, social, public relations, membership) were on track in completing their own goals and cross-collaborations.
Through this experience, I have gained a greater understanding of the logistics behind running a 100+ member organization and the club's mission, along
with the opportunity to implement change within the organiziation.

Alpha Phi Omega (APO) is a National Service Organization at USC where
I found some of my closest friends in colleges and have shared the most
memorable memories with. In APO, we bonded through our mutal passions in service and
compassion for our local community. We have worked with nonprofit organizations such as,
Los Angeles Food Bank, Watt's Empowerment Center, Hollywood Food Coalition,
and Share a Meal. My favorite events however, which may be biased as I served as the Philanthropy Chair
my Junior year, were my events distributing care packages to those on Skid Row. It was a very
gratifying opportunity to create meaningful connections and directly communicate with the people
we serve. It had been an honor serving as a Philanthropy Chair for APO to implement changes that would
improve consistency and value to the philanthropy the organization does.
Being in APO has made USC's big campus feel a lot
smaller, and I can't wait to have more
memories with the relationships I have created beyond college.
